Kirito sighed."We'll, I'm going to at least try to save them."

She smiled at him dimly before watching them race inside and took her hand off him and followed them, lifting her head and steeled her emotions. Asuna had a lingering doubt they'd survive this, but if they didn't, she could at least die knowing she tried to save someone. Suspicion glinted; the boss room was completely empty.

Kirito had walked in and was glancing around, his hands on his swords and looking around warily.

Kirito clenched his teeth before running forward and swinging his swords at the giant bat, trying to slice the wings of it

The player who had been victimized by the bat had taken a lot of damage from being bit down so hard by the strong boss. Asuna tried using a healing crystal on him but her crystal didn't work and she felt her throat go dry with fear. She reluctantly turned away from them and waited to switch with Kirito, biting her bottom lip slightly.

Kirito sliced at the bat several more times before yelling 'Switch!'

Asuna ran past him and swiped at the bat, and it flew up at the same time so she skidded forward. She waited for it to come back down with a :T face, and the bat flew back down and crushed one of the Army players under its foot so fast they couldn't run away, instantly depleting their health to 0 and they exploded. She gaped, her eyes wide before shaking her head and attacked the giant bat from behind, its health barely dented. The bat changed its focus from the weaker of the group to Asuna and slashed back, making clinking sounds on her sword with its claws. Asuna did a 360 and slashed at the bat's foot, elegantly slashing her and there with graceful speed. She took her gleaming sword back and took a deep breath, letting her mind focus only on the task at hand as her blade was unseen from its quick strikes. Her feet were light and she didn't stay in one place for too long, as she wasn't a very heavily-built fighter.. She looked like she was dancing. Dancing a dance only a master could do. It stunned all of the dizzy diffie-male Army players who watched her with wide eyes as she attacked the boss with quick, nimble strikes with her rapier, side-stepping. The bat was also doing damage to Asuna though, chipping her health away slowly.

Kirito stood, breathing heavily and trying to catch his breath. When he had somewhat recovered, he watched her, amazed by her speed and smiling slightly.

Kirito ran forward, worried for a second."Asuna? You okay?", he asked as he took her place, slashing at the boss several times.

Kirito sighed in relief before going back to slashing with both swords at the boss, hitting as hard as he could

Asuna watched, getting up and walked over to her rapier and picked it up, watching him fight.

Kirito slashed at the bat's wings, trying to make it lose it's ability to fly

Asuna watched as he chunked away the boss's health. She gripped her rapier and readied herself in case.

Kirito's black eyes focused on the bat as he continued his slashing with the double swords. He didn't want to include Asuna in this fight anymore, considering she had gotten somewhat hurt in the last attack. For now he was fine, his HP only half gone and dropping only slightly when he got hit every once and a while. Kirito managed to get a big hit on the bat, a small smirk on his face as he continued his slashing, taking a step forward. But he might be a little too overconfident.

Asuna's shoulders tensed as she felt something ominous about to happen. The bat finally got fed up with Kirito's snide over confidence and took a heavy swipe at him, blowing him back with its roar.

The swipe hit Kirito across the chest and he fell back, skidding several feet. That one hit plus that roar had managed to take him down quite a bit of HP. Kirito managed to stand by leaning on his sword, and looked at Asuna."...switch"

Asuna started towards him but the bat was coming quickly and she glanced at him with a gaze of worry before dashing at the bat and stabbed at it, knowing he wouldn't be able to battle anymore and tried to dodge the boss's attacks the best she could, her HP looming threatening lower, as it was already in the yellow zone. She was starting to pant, but managed to keep her speed attacks up, and her dexterity continued to increase, before she missed the bat once, and it managed to make a hit on her, shortening her HP even more. Asuna winced and stumbled slightly before continuing her attacks. It was a fight to the death between both player and boss, the roar's of the boss and the quick, starting to become unsteady breathing of the <<Flash>> echoing loudly as they chipped at eachother's HP. Asuna's strikes were nimble and weak, but she hit so many times that it didn't matter, as it was doing more damage then the usual, slower DPS would. The bat managed to give her a wound on her cheek, and she bit her lip as her HP neared the red zone and increased her speed, determined to bring her opponent with her.

Kirito's HP was in the red and nearly gone, but he still managed to stand, and waited to see if he could help at all.

Asuna got blown back and skidded a bit, before panting and struggled to get back up, her HP flashing red. The bat turned towards the Army players and picked off another one, and another one before Asuna was back on it again, not caring about whether she would die or not, her mind racing to save the others and managed to get the bat into the red zone with her. She could take about three more full-on blows before her HP hit zero, and took this into mind as she slashed away, feeling light-headed from her quickly-depleting health. She tripped over herself and fell down, and her eyes widened. The boss only needed a little more and then- Asuna felt numb. She got the heart-racing, choking feeling that she was about to die as she was incapable of standing any longer, but didn't want to call Kirito in at all, in fear he would end up dead. She raised her sword to defend herself out of habit and shut her eyes tightly, waiting silently for her HP to hit 0, but it never happened. Instead, a player-- the younger one, had ran out in front of her and took the blow for her, dying in her place. Asuna let out a scream, reaching out her hand slightly but dropped it, feeling anger take the place of fear and managed to get up again, ignoring the others and started to hit the giant bat again with strikes full of blunt anger, making the now un-flyable bat stumble backwards, and she let out yells of anger as she continued running the bat through before it finally died. She just stared for a moment before shaking her head, struggling to sheath her sword with shaky hands and managed to keep conscious.

Kirito watched her, eyes wide. When she had finished, he stumbled over and nearly fell on her, but managed to just stand in front of her. He didn't say anything, but reached out and hugged her

Asuna had started to cry, and blinked in surprise as he hugged her. She instantly hugged him back and sniffled, her small body trembling.

"There, there", Kirito murmured and patted her head."Everything will be fine"
